Nathaniel Mayer Victor Rothschild, 3rd Baron Rothschild, (31 October 1910 – 20 March 1990), was a British scientist, intelligence officer during World War II, and later a senior executive with Royal Dutch Shell and N M Rothschild & Sons, and an advisor to the Edward Heath and Margaret Thatcher governments of the UK. He was a member of the prominent Rothschild family.

NEWPORT, R.I., Oct. 31. -- Mrs. Elisha Dyer was operated on for appendicitis this afternoon at her residence, Wayside, in Bellevue Avenue, by Drs. Charles W. Stewart and Charles D. Easton. The operation was successful and the patient is resting as well as could be expected. The news of Mrs. Dyer's sudden illness was received with deep regret in the cottage colony.

The wheat market was weak and active, reaching new low levels, closing with some reaction from the low point. The decline was brought about by the persistent pressure of cash wheat on the market and the fact that there has been no demand for export developed by the declining prices. The cables were weak, due to heavy world's shipments.

Robert J. Morehead, a contracter, living at 413 East 145th Street, the Bronx, met Magistrate Arthur C. Butts in a Boston Road trolley car Saturday night and questioned the merits of his decision in fining Luke McBride, Mr. Morchead's chauffeau,820 for allowing his automoble to smoke, and also for holding McBride for trial for having no license.
